CHRONO CROSS: THE RADICAL DREAMERS EDITION is a remastered version of the original “CHRONO CROSS,” featuring numerous enhancements. It upgrades the 3D models to high definition, introduces new illustrations, and incorporates a variety of additional features. Notably, this edition includes the game that laid the foundation for the story, “RADICAL DREAMERS – Le Trésor Interdit.”
CHRONO CROSS is an expansive RPG that traverses time and space, unfolding across two interconnected parallel worlds. With an extensive roster of over 40 party members, it weaves an epic narrative centered around the very planet itself.
New features in the remastered edition encompass:

RADICAL DREAMERS – Le Trésor Interdit –
Originally released as a standalone game in 1996, “RADICAL DREAMERS – Le Trésor Interdit -” had become less accessible for players in recent years. In this edition, players can immerse themselves in the story that ultimately became the foundation for CHRONO CROSS, presented in the format of an audio novel. It unveils an alternate narrative of the RADICAL DREAMERS, a trio of thieves – Serge, Kid, and Magil – within a parallel world.
Note that you can switch between the new and old versions of the 3D models and illustrations. However, the 3D models, illustrations, font, and background filter changes cannot be individually toggled; they all switch together.

Both NSP and XCI ROM formats have the same functionality and perform equally when it comes to emulation, making them interchangeable in usage.
