Dies irae Amantes amentes For Nintendo Switch: May 1, 1945… Germany. In Berlin, as the city teetered on the brink of collapse, a group engaged in a peculiar ritual. The outcome of the war held little significance for them; they preferred sacrificing countless victims as a catalyst for their ritual. The success or failure of their endeavor remains unknown. Post-war, they vanished into obscurity, leaving uncertainty about their existence or fate. Only rumors persisted.
The Thirteen Knights of the Holy Spear, superhumans born from the shadows of the Third Reich, are destined to return. Their reappearance threatens global destruction. It is imperative to prevent their return.
Sixty-one years later, in 2006… Japan. Ren Fujii, a student in Suwahara City, severs ties with his best friend, Shiro Yusa, after a significant incident. A near-lethal altercation lands Ren in the hospital for two months. The season transitions from autumn to winter, just before Christmas.
Despite the profound loss, Ren, discharged from the hospital, endeavors to forge a new life without Shiro. The dream of the guillotine haunts his nights, pursued by a head-hunting murderer and black-clad “knights.” The city succumbs to absurdity, an abnormality shattering the established order.
Survival requires change in this accelerating descent into madness. In a world going awry, Ren navigates the line between ordinary and extraordinary, yearning for the simplicity of the past. Shirou’s voice echoes in his heart, hinting at an impending descent into madness for anyone living in this town.
The battle with the Thirteen Knights of the Holy Spear ensues—a continuation of a war laden with madness, murder, and curses. What awaits Ren at the end of this tumultuous journey?
