Evil Inside unfolds as a first-person psychological horror game, following protagonist Mark’s quest to unravel the mystery surrounding his mother’s death and his father’s subsequent arrest. Stricken with grief, Mark attempts to communicate with his mother through a Spiritual board, triggering a mysterious explosion that causes him to dissipate. The narrative centers on Mark’s journey to collect fragments of the Spiritual board amid a series of haunting paranormal occurrences, all in an effort to understand the unfolding reality.
As Mark, a teenager responsible for his younger brother due to the loss of their mother and their father’s imprisonment, players delve into Mark’s visions and fears, uncertain whether he alone is privy to them or if someone else shares this knowledge. The primary goal is to gather scattered Spiritual board fragments within their home, enabling Mark to contact his deceased mother, Rose, and uncover the truth.
The entirety of Evil Inside transpires within a mysterious and ever-changing house. Exploring Mark’s home reveals an unsettling atmosphere, where appearances deceive and fears intensify. Players must confront terror and truth, immersing themselves in an authentic horror experience.
Amidst the perplexing events, questions arise about Mark’s father and the seemingly inexplicable circumstances surrounding his imprisonment. The protagonist grapples with the abrupt upheaval in his life, living alone and caring for his younger brother.
